Privacy & Cookie Policy
Welcome to my website. I am Fiona Corbett, and I run a private therapy and EMDR practice in the UK. I am committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how I collect, use, and store your personal information when you visit my website, FionaCorbett.com, or use my contact form.
I operate as a Data Controller under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act.
1. Information I Collect & How I Use It
When you use this website, you may choose to provide me with personal data.
-
Contact Form: If you fill out my contact form to enquire about therapy, I collect your name, email address, telephone number, and any details you share about your situation.
-
Why I use it: I only use this data to respond to your inquiry and arrange an initial consultation.
-
Lawful Basis: Under the UK GDPR, the lawful basis for processing this information is your explicit consent (when you click send) and to take steps to enter into a potential contract for therapy services.
2. How Your Data Is Stored
My website is hosted on the Wix.com platform. Your data may be stored through Wix’s secure data storage, databases, and general applications behind a secure firewall.
If we decide to work together, any detailed clinical notes I take during our EMDR or therapy sessions are kept entirely separate from this website. They are stored securely offline or on an encrypted, GDPR-compliant system.
3. Data Retention
I will not keep your contact form details forever. If you do not end up booking a session with me, your contact message and emails will be securely deleted within [after 7 years]. If we proceed with therapy, your details are kept in line with professional psychological regulations.
4. Third-Party Sharing
I strictly never sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. I will only share your information if required to do so by law, or if there is a severe risk of harm to yourself or others (safeguarding).
5. Cookies Policy
This website uses cookies to give you a great browsing experience and to help my site run effectively.
-
Essential Cookies: Wix automatically places small data files on your device to keep this site secure, prevent fraud, and allow the contact form to work properly. These cannot be turned off because the website will not work without them.
-
Analytics/Non-Essential Cookies: I may use basic tools (like Wix Analytics) to see how many visitors come to my page. These are only turned on if you click "Accept" on my website’s cookie banner.
You can change your cookie choices at any time by clearing your browser cookies or clicking the cookie banner settings on my page.
6. Your Rights
Under the UK GDPR, you have the right to request a copy of the personal information I hold about you. You can also ask me to correct inaccurate information, or ask me to delete your personal data from my website records.
